Anthony Bettencourt

Chief Executive Officer, President and Chairman of the Board

Anthony Bettencourt has more than 25 years of experience building fast-growth, market-leading technology companies. Prior to Coverity, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Verity Inc., a leader in enterprise search, and led the company through its acquisition by Autonomy Corp. plc. After which, Bettencourt served successively as the CEO of Autonomy, Inc., CEO of Autonomy ZANTAZ and CEO of Autonomy Interwoven. He currently serves as the non-executive chairman of the board of directors for Blinkx, Inc., an Internet video search engine, and serves on the board of directors for Proofpoint.

John E. Calonico Jr.

Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary

John Calonico brings more than 30 years of experience in financial management and operations in the technology sector, including expertise in finance, treasury, human resources, facilities and information systems. Prior to Coverity, he served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Aster Data Systems, a market leader in big data management and advanced analytics, where he led the company through its acquisition by Teradata. Prior to this, Calonico served as the CFO of Interwoven, where he helped drive profitable growth as revenues reached more than $250 million prior to its acquisition by Autonomy. He has also served as CFO of Blue Martini Software, where he managed the company's IPO, has held vice president of finance positions for BEA Systems and Autodesk, and began his career with the accounting firm of Ernst & Young.

Andy Chou

Andy Chou, Ph.D.

Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer

Andy Chou co-founded Coverity in 2003 and developed key innovations in its industry-leading static analysis technology. Today, he is responsible for technology innovation, research, selected partnerships and thought leadership. Prior to co-founding Coverity, Chou was instrumental in developing the core intellectual property behind the Coverity Development Testing Platform while earning his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University. He also has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.

Matt Green

Matt Green

Chief Revenue Officer

Matt Green has more than 25 years of enterprise software field operations experience and is responsible for all facets of revenue generation for the global sales team and channel partners. Prior to Coverity, he served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Services at Framehawk, a leading enterprise software platform for mobile devices. Green also served as President of Worldwide Sales at BEA Systems, where he was responsible for the company's revenue plan worldwide, and managed all sales, channels, systems engineers, sales support, field marketing and sales operations. He was instrumental in leading BEA Systems through its successful IPO, and growing annual revenue more than $1 billion until its acquisition by Oracle Corporation. Green has also held executive sales and field operations leadership positions at Cassatt Corporation, Walker Interactive Systems, McDonnell Douglas Information Systems Group and Burroughs Corporation. Green holds a B.S. in Business Administration from California State University, Chico.

Jennifer Johnson

Chief Marketing Officer

Jennifer Johnson is responsible for the global strategy and execution of all facets of marketing, leading the corporate communications, demand generation, product marketing and product management functions. She has been instrumental in defining and building the emerging development testing category, as well as expanding the company's presence in the security market. Prior to Coverity, Johnson held management positions at several enterprise software companies including VERITAS Software (now Symantec) and Mercury Interactive (now HP). Most recently, she led the product marketing team and go-to-market strategy for HP Software's IT process automation and IT change management product lines. Johnson is ITIL certified and holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco, as well as an MBA from Santa Clara University.

Sunil Nagdev

Senior Vice President of Global Services

Nagdev leads the worldwide professional services and technical support organization. A seasoned veteran with proven success driving growth and customer satisfaction, he has more than 25 years of experience building and leading world-class services, consulting, support and training organizations at high-growth technology companies. Prior to Coverity, Nagdev served as vice president at Imperva, Tablus (now RSA, the security division of EMC), Verity (now Autonomy) and Versant Object Technology. Nagdev started his career as a software engineer and was responsible for building reusable code across an internal software supply chain, gathering customer requirements and managing customer beta programs.

Andreas Kuehlmann

Andreas Kuehlmann, Ph.D.

Senior Vice President of Research and Development

Andreas Kuehlmann is responsible for global research and development activity. Prior to joining Coverity, he served as Fellow and Director of Cadence Research Laboratories, where he led the company's advanced research and development including systems and software verification technologies. Kuehlmann has an appointment as adjunct professor at University of California, Berkeley, and served as President of the IEEE Council on Electronic Design Automation (CEDA). Prior to Cadence, he was part of the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center. His work on functional equivalence verification was key to the development of IBM's high-end processors and was later broadly adopted by the industry. Kuehlmann received the Dipl-Ing. degree and the Dr.-Ing. habil degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Technology at Ilmenau, Germany, and is an IEEE Fellow.

Carol MacKinlay

Carol MacKinlay

Vice President of Administration

Carol MacKinlay is responsible for worldwide talent acquisition, employee engagement and real estate functions. Prior to Coverity, she held executive positions with Plantronics, Jawbone and CodeGear, the developer tools group of Borland Software. In these roles, she created and executed successful, cost-effective programs to drive business strategy and develop world-class company cultures. MacKinlay worked for many years as a management and Board consultant with the KPMG financial strategy and executive compensation teams, and as a consultant in private practice. She has been a Board member for Second Harvest Food Bank and Junior Achievement. MacKinlay holds a B.A. in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA in Venture Management from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.

Seth Hallem

Mr. Hallem founded Coverity in 2002 and has played a key role in managing its growth from start-up to enterprise software company status. Prior to founding Coverity, Mr. Hallem was one of the principal architects of the groundbreaking source code analysis technology developed at the Stanford Computer Science Laboratory upon which Coverity's solution is based. He received his B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University.

Kirk Bowman

Mr. Bowman has more than 19 years of experience in high technology, most recently as executive vice president of worldwide field operations at Equallogic. During his career, he has also held executive positions at VMware, Inktomi, Object Design and Parametric Technology.

Aki Fujimura

Mr. Fujimura is currently Chairman/CEO of D2S, Inc. Previously, Mr. Fujimura served as CTO at Cadence Design Systems. He returned to Cadence for a second time through the acquisition of Simplex Solutions, where he was President/COO. Prior to Simplex, Mr. Fujimura was an inside board member and VP at Pure Software. Both Simplex and Pure executed initial public offerings during his tenure.

Paul Holland, Foundation Capital

Mr. Holland has spent a significant portion of his career in the field of software quality. An early employee of Pure Software, Mr. Holland managed all European business for Pure and was instrumental in managing three acquisitions, including the tool vendor Atria. Mr. Holland has helped take two venture-funded software start-ups, Kana Communications (KANA) and Pure Software (RATL), public. Prior to Foundation Capital, Mr. Holland was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Kana Communications.

Fred Gerson

Mr. Gerson currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the San Diego Padres, bringing 22 years of experience as a CFO for various high technology companies, including four publicly traded companies and several closely held entities. He began his career at Ernst & Young as an audit manager, and has subsequently led successful initial public offerings as the CFO for Maxis, Inc., and Marimba, Inc., which was acquired by BMC Software. Gerson also served as CFO of the Coin-Operated Games Division of Atari, Inc., and Peter Norton Computing, Inc., which was acquired by Symantec. Gerson currently sits on the board of directors of Major League Baseball's captive insurance entity, is a director and chair of the Audit Committee of Infoblox, and serves on the boards of Klever Logic and Authentify, Inc. Gerson was also a director of DivX, Inc. where he served as Chairman of the Audit Committee from 2005 until the sale of the company to Sonic Solutions in October 2010.

Mr. Dunlevie has 20 years' experience as a venture capital investor. During this time, Mr. Dunlevie has invested across a variety of industry sectors, and has direct investment experience in the software quality arena following his success with Pure Software, Rational Software, and Catapulse Inc. Prior to Benchmark, Mr. Dunlevie spent six years as a general partner with Merrill, Pickard, Anderson & Eyre (MPAE).
