Coverity Expands into European Market and Signs First European Customer, Cipher Labs
New offices in France and UK offer European customers local service and support for industry's leading source code analysis solution
SAN FRANCISCO, May 24, 2005 –
Coverity, Inc., makers of the world's most advanced
and scalable source code analysis solution, today announced
its first customer in Europe, Cipher Labs, and its expansion
into the European market with new distributors based
in the United Kingdom and France.
Cipher Labs, a leading cryptography company, has integrated
Coverity's Prevent and Coverity Extend source
code analysis solutions into their software production
environment without changing any existing processes.
"We've integrated Coverity's products into our
development process to help us ensure world-class quality
and security standards," said Costin Mayer-Suhr,
CTO of Cipher Labs, creators of the Ciphire System and
the Ciphire Mail applications that must meet demanding
reliability and security requirements. "We're pleased
that we'll be able to get support and service locally."
To meet the increasing demand for its solutions in
Europe, Coverity has entered into reseller, service
and support agreements with two leading systems integration
companies - Scientific Computers in the United Kingdom
and Sodima in France.
"Based on the rapid increase in interest from
European companies, we decided to make a long-term commitment
to provide the highest quality support and professional
services in Europe," said Seth Hallem, CEO of Coverity.
"With outstanding distribution partners such as
Scientific Computers and Sodima, I'm confident that
our customers in Europe can quickly automate major portions
of their quality assurance initiatives without changing
how developers work."
"European technology companies are looking to
leverage third party validation of software quality
and security in order to compete globally," said
Alan Hall, Managing Director of Scientific Computers,
one of the UK's most experienced providers of software
and services for IT development. "We're eager to
help our European customers save money by finding and
fixing defects early in the development cycle. We also
plan to introduce the Coverity Inspected program
to European companies as third-party quality and security
validation."
"Our customers in Europe work on some of the largest
software projects in their markets," said Jérôme
d'Alderete of Sodima, a leading provider of IT solutions
in France. "They invest heavily in quality assurance
prior to deployment. Coverity's source code analysis
solutions are the best way to cost-effectively scale
the QA process to millions of lines of code."
