Coverity Wins SIIA CODiE Award for Best Software Development Solution

Coverity, the leader in development testing, today announced that Coverity® Static Analysis 5.5 has won the 2012 SIIA CODiE Award for Best Software Development Solution.

The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), which is the principal trade association for the software and digital content industries, announced Coverity’s win as one of 28 CODiE Award winners in business software categories. A SIIA CODiE Award win for software companies is an especially prestigious honor as each award winner is first reviewed by a field of software industry executives, whose evaluations determined finalists. SIIA members then review these finalists and vote to select the CODiE Awards Winners.

Coverity Static Analysis 5.5, the company’s flagship product, is a solution purpose built to help developers find and fix quality and security problems early in the development cycle, as code is being written, without impacting time-to-market, cost or customer satisfaction. Coverity Static Analysis represents a key part of the Coverity development testing platform, which helps development organizations deliver higher quality products on schedule and on budget.

“Coverity has become an integral part of the development process at some of the world’s largest companies, so we understand how developers work,” said Jennifer Johnson, VP of Marketing at Coverity. “Coverity 5.5 is focused on bringing static analysis directly into the developers’ workflow, integrated with the tools they use every day, so that testing becomes a seamless part of their process. This award is validation of our vision and we are honored to be recognized by SIIA for our continued innovation and leadership.”

“This year’s winners reflect excellence and vision,” noted SIIA Vice President for the Software Division, Rhianna Collier. “I’m proud to congratulate them on the success of their applications, platforms and products.”
